Harsh temperature – Saudi Arabia adviced pilgrims to pray jumma’at prayers in nearby mosques

The Saudi Arabia Metrological Agency has urged pilgrims of other nationals in the Kingdom to observe Friday prayers in nearby mosques.

 

The advice is due to thw predicted harsh temperature which according to the metrological agency will reaxh 50 degrees Celsius.

 

In a statement issued by Nigerian Coordinator in Makkah, Dr. Ibrahim M. Sodangi who is also the NAHCON Director of Admin urged Nigerian pilgrims to adhere to the warning and pray in nearby mosques to their hotels and not to expose themselves to the denger of the harsh weather.

 

 

The statement reads

“Update: The Saudi Arabian Metrological Agency has stated that the temperature will reach 50 degrees centigrade tomorrow, Friday 7th July, 2023.

“In view of this, the Saudi Government has advised pilgrims to observe the Jumma’at prayers in the Mosques nearest to them in order not to expose themselves to the harsh weather.

“Nigeria Pilgrims are therefore enjoined to comply with this directive.
