?President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday swore in Mr. Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF) during a brief ceremony at the State House, Abuja.

?Enitan succeeds Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack following her retirement upon reaching the mandatory age of 60. Named as the successor on August 19, 2026, Enitan was selected as the most senior Permanent Secretary in the service.

?The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the outgoing HoCSF and her husband, Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack; the new HoCSF’s wife, Mrs. Olawunmi Ololade Enitan; and the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr. Peter Fashedemi.

President Tinubu congratulated the new administrative chief and charged him to uphold strict standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and efficiency across the civil service.

?Born on December 12, 1966, in Osun State, Enitan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos and a Master’s in Public Policy Analysis from Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He began his career in the Federal Civil Service in 1998 as a Senior Operations Officer at the Family Economic Advancement Programme (FEAP).

?His public service history includes roles in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the Office of the Vice President, where he served as Chief Administrative Officer and eventually rose to Director between 2010 and 2018.

Following his appointment as Permanent Secretary in December 2018, he served across the Federal Civil Service Commission as well as the Ministries of Environment, Police Affairs, Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Education prior to assuming his current role.
