In a groundbreaking move, Professor Salisu Shehu, Vice Chancellor of Al-istiqama University, has launched a nationwide movement to revolutionize Nigeria’s education sector through digital technology.
Speaking at the Al-imam School’s 2024 Speech and Prize-Giving Day, Professor Shehu emphasized the need for schools to embrace digital technology to connect with the global community and meet global standards.
The event brought together education stakeholders to discuss the future of learning in Nigeria.
Dr. Jamila Muhammad, Commissioner of Education in Bauchi state, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to education, citing initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes.
She assured support for schools to adopt digital technology, ensuring a seamless transition to digital learning.
U.S. Ibrahim, Principal of Al-imam College, sought support from the government and parents to enhance his school’s efforts in providing quality education.
The event launched the school’s magazine and provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital technology adoption in education.
Educators shared best practices, while policymakers outlined plans to support digital technology in schools.
The movement aims to empower students with digital literacy, enabling them to compete favorably in the global arena.
