Ramadan: Bauchi reps member distributes food items worth N200mln with N20mln cash

The member representing Alkaleri/Kirfi federal constituency, Hon. Kabiru Yusuf has distributed food items worth over two hundred million naira to his constituents as Ramadan relief packages.

The lawmaker, also shared over twenty million naira cash to some small business owners as well as one tricycle machine to his die hard supporter, who used his Keke Napep to campaign for the lawmaker in nooks and crannies of the constituency.

Speaking at the flag-off of the distribution exercise, Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf Said, the gesture was to reduce hardships being experienced in the society, especially in the month of Ramadan.

He said the beneficiaries of the Ramadan Relief Package, will cut across APC structures in both Alkaleri and kirfi local governments, youths and women groups, people with special needs, religious and traditional rulers as well as other political parties in the two local governments.

The lawmaker used the event to appreciate the leadership style of the speaker house of representatives Hon. Tajudden Abbas and chairman appropriation committee Abubakar Kabiru Bichi for doing the needful in their respective offices.

He urged Nigerians to continue praying for Bola Tinubu’s administrator to succeed, saying the current hardships will soon be a thing of the past.

The Food items distributed include two thousand bags of sugar 10kg, one thousand bags of sugar 50kg, ten thousand bags of rice 10kg, five thousand bags of rice 25kg, one thousand cartoons of spaghetti and one thousand cartoons of groundnut oil among others.

On his part, Bauchi state APC chairman, represented by the secretary of the party, Alhaji Mustapha Zirami, applauded the quality representation of the federal lawmaker, by carrying the party in all his activities, emphasizing that the leadership of the party will always stand by him.

Earlier, the chief of staff to the lawmaker, Shagari Talban Mainau, listed some of the activities carry out by his principle in his 8 month representation to include, installation of solar panels, in strategic locations within the two local governments, distribution of fertilizer and other farm inputs,JAMB registration to more than hundred students, and admission for fully funded international scholarship to over fifty beneficiaries among others.

Some of the beneficiaries of the twenty million naira to small holder businesses, Sale Yakubu Mainamaji, Bala mai Shayi and Umar Abdullahi, who pocketed five hundred thousand naira each, expressed happiness and promised their total to the lawmaker at all times.
