Gombe State emerged as one of the standout participants at the Annual Commonwealth Day Conference held on March 11, 2024.
The delegation Led by the Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Hon Adamu Inuwa Ibrahim, with the support of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, the state showcased its commitment to global collaboration and progress.

Adding that with their insightful input earning praise and recognition, as well as positioning Gombe State as an engaged member of the Commonwealth community.
According to the Gombe State Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, the support of Governor Inuwa Yahaya and his guidance were instrumental in ensuring the success of Gombe State’s representation at the conference.
He said, “The notable performance of Gombe State’s delegation garnered attention and admiration from officials of the Commonwealth.
Explained that In light of the state’s exemplary participation, there are indications that next year’s Annual Commonwealth Day Conference may be hosted in Gombe State.
This prospect reflects the confidence and trust placed in Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s leadership and the commitment of Gombe State to promoting international cooperation and development”.
