We are working hard to return to NPFL -Chairman Wikki Tourists

The Management of WIkki Tourists Football Club (FC) Bauchi says it is working hard to return to the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) after the club’s relegation to the Nigerian National League (NNL).

It reports that WIkki Tourists FC was relegated from Nigeria’s football league after the NPFL 2022/223 season.

The club is topping group C at the 2023/24 NNL with 19 points from nine matches with five wins four draws

Mr Musa Gotal, Chairman of the Club stated this in a chart with Journalists on Tuesday in Bauchi.

He said the management, technical cre, players and supporters are working with vigor to see the club progress to the NPFL.

The first stanza NNL was a blessing and we have moved the second stanza with blessings.

“We are working hard to maintain our good records of the NNL, we are optimistic that we will return to NPFL,” Gotal said.

Açcording him, part of the management efforts to maintain the good records was to ensure welfare of players, pay salaries and match bonuses on time .

The Chairman lauded the state governor, Bala Mohammed for his encouragement and support through adequate funding.

“Our funds and releases as at went due this kind encouragement gives us the confidence that we will soon return to premier league.

“We are also appreciating the people of Bauchi and the supporters club for their gigantic prayers and support to the club,” he said.

Mr Gotal assures the Governor and the citizens of the Club returning to premier league soonest.

“We have gotten the enabling environment to enable us perform better and get back to NPFL,” Gotal said.

He appealed for continued prayers and encouragement from the citizens and supporters for the club to return to the premier league.
