Nigeria’s goalkeeper Nwabali who has been the face and man of the match played by Nigeria in the semi-finals against South Africa has taken to his Instagram page to apologize for disappointing the giant of Africa in their Sunday match against Cote D’vore.
Nwabali’s apology came after the Super Eagles failed to grab the trophy after the host country Ivory Coast beat them to a 2-1 win.
The goalkeeper wrote;
“A disappointing and frustrating end. I deeply apologise to Nigerian, I was once a fan, and, still a fan and I understand how it feels to give you a disappointing night. We take full responsibility. Thanks for the full support till the end. I love you all”.
