CP Gombe state presents N80mln cheques to 19 families of deceased officers

 

The Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Usman Psc, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D NPM under the IGP FAMILY WELFARE AND GROUP LIFE ASSURANCE Scheme, presented cheques of over 80 million Naira to 19 families of deceased police officers as beneficiaries of the IGP Welfare scheme at the Command Headquarters Gombe.

 

In a statement signed by ASP Mahid  Mu’azu Abubakar PPRO Gombe State revealed that the event, which took place at the Command’s conference hall, was attended by the next of kin’s of the deceased police officers who died in the line of duty across the country.

 

 

In his remarks, CP Hayatu Usman affirmed the police force’s commitment to not forgetting their officers who die in the line of duty. He also advised the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously to fulfill their family needs and prayed for the souls of the deceased officers to rest in peace.

 

 

Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries One of the next of kin, expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Police leadership for not forgetting them and for alleviating the pain of their fallen husbands and brothers.
