Plateau State to start exporting potatoes very soon-governor Lalong.

The Plateau state governor retired Barr Simon Lalong has remarked that very soon the state will start the export of potatoes to some foreign nationals. Lalong said this today when he was hosted on an NTA morning TV programme today in Abuja.

Governor Lalong said he had inherited only #300 million on ground when he assume office but now through the use of TSA account the state was able to generate up to #1.8 billion revenue.

The governor who spoke extensively on how agriculture has helped in the generation of revenue in the state which according to him, he has revived so many abandoned plants, such as the fartalizer plant, plateau bottling company amongs others.

When asked what he did differently from his other colleagues,  governor Lalong explained that he had set up a committee who visited Kano, Lagos and Kaduna to have an indepth knowledge on how those states where able to generate alot of revenue to eneble them delivered infrastructures to the people of  the state.

Lalong also highlighted how his administration averted crisis situations in the state by focusing on peace building. Because according to him without peace there will be no tourism in the state.

Governor Lalong also brag about payments of workers salaries, says plateau state workers get their salaries by 25th of every month, and promise to focus more now on the reconstruction of the abandoned Jos main market and Tourism in the state.
