Kano state students promise support for Ganduje as 2019 election approaches

Kano state Students under the auspices of the National Association of Kano State Students (NAKASS) have rallied support for the second term bid of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the 2019 general election is fast approaching.

Speaking to newsmen at the Kano State Scholarship Board, the national president of the association, Aliyu Mai Kasuwa, assured Governor Ganduje of their support for his second term bid in 2019.

“All students that are Kano indigenes will support Ganduje in 2019 courtesy of his commitment to the payment of scholarship allowances since he assumed office on May 29, 2015.

“We complained about nonpayment of our scholarship allowances and he has paid us. We will in return vote for him come 2019 general elections,” said Mai Kasuwa. He also urged Kano State students to always be good ambassadors wherever they found themselves, stressing that the state needs good representation at all levels.

“I am also calling on Kano State students wherever they are to desist from any form of violence, criminality and other vices. You should be good ambassadors of Kano State. It is high time the youth came back to their senses and desist from anything capable of causing violence in the country.

“We should reject any person that wants to use us to cause violence in Kano State. We are the leaders of tomorrow and therefore we should support anything progressive and avoid anything that will distance our dear state from development,” he said.
