Journalist allegedly escapes death while covering APC Unity meeting.

Reports indicated that, Over ten journalists who went to cover the Delta state All Progressives Congress, (APC), enlarged unity meeting on Saturday at Evwreni, Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state narrowly escaped death following attack by armed State Security Service, (SSS) and policemen attached to the Niger Delta Development Commission.

Trouble was said to have started when the candidate for APC 2015 in the state O’tega Emerhon requested that journalists meet him in his sitting room for an interview. But Security attached to NDDC executive director Samuel Adjogbe however descendedon the journalist with guns,  threatening to kill them

 An eye witness who is also member of the APC narrate the ugly incidence saying, “the crowd at the entrance was overwhelming and the Journalists were paving their way to meet Olorogun Emerhor for interview and immediately the SSS attached to the NDDC Executive Director (Projects), called Ogaga descended on one Gabriel Choba, the Ughelli correspondent of New Telegraph Newspapers, with his gun butt.”
