Blessing Liman |
The Nigerian Airforce allegedly produces its first female combat pilot. Her name is Blessing Liman, and an indigenes of Zango Kataf of Kaduna state.
Born on the 13th March 1984, she was enlisted into the Nigerian Airforce in July and commissioned on 9th December 2011. Blessing has underwent different training programme which allegedly cost Nigerian a whooping ($650,000each) both within and outside the country.
Blessing Liman was not the only one commissioned as she have 29 other pilots as combat flying officers also commissioned by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Dikko Umar. Some of their training reportedly took place in countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Greece, Pakistan, and Egypt include 14 fighter jet pilots.
Minister of State for Defence, Erelu (Dr) Olusola Agbeja Obada, the leadership of the National Council for Nigerian Society (NCNS), the Presidential Adviser to the President on Ethics and Values, Dr. (Mrs.) Sarah Jubril, Mrs. Appolonia Petirin, Mrs. Ihejirika and Mrs. Dikko Umar were among those who graced the historic occasion.
