A recent comment by Chief Bisi Akande sometimes last week has unsettled the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) . The APC chieftain has rulled out that there is no automatic tickect for the incumbent president as the ticket for 2019 election was open to all – APC national chairman.
However Chief John Odigie-Oyegun says Akande’s said that the statement credited to Chief Bisi Akande, that the party’s presidential ticket for 2019 election was open to all was a personal opinion which did not reflect the party’s stand. Oyegun stated this in response to Akande’s comment while speaking to Thisday via a phone interview.
“That’s his personal view. He said what he felt. There is really nothing to comment about – nothing. That is his personal view,” Oyegun said.
