Personal Assistant on Social Media to the president, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie, has said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is only after those who have stolen items in their possession. This was said in reaction to the accusations by former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, that Buhari’s government is persecuting her.
In a series of tweets, Lauretta asked Mrs. Jonathan if she has in her possession items that attract the EFCC.
“Again, there must be something about you that attracts the EFCC. EFCC is only attracted to those who have stolen items. Do you have? “Madam, under your husband’s administration, perversion of the course of justice was standard. Under Buhari’s administration, it’s forbidden”, she tweeted.
Patience Jonathan had on monday released a statement that she is being persecuted for her role during the 2015 presidential election. Calling on the president to caution the acting chairman of EFCC Ibrahim Magu. Patience further said, she was only being a supportive wife just like Aisha Buhari is supporting her own husband.
