Just In: Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital to take off Soon

 

 

The Emir of Lafia who is also the Chairman Nasarawa State council of Chiefs Hon Justice Dr Sidi Bage Muhammad the first JSC Rtd has paid a thank you visit to the Hon Minister of Health and Welfare Professor Muhammad Ali Pate at Federal Ministry of Health, Federal Secretariat Abuja, Wednesday.

 

The visit according to Emir of Lafia was to officially thank the Honourable Minister of Health and Welfare for the good work is doing in transforming the health sector in line with President Tinubu renewed Hope agenda.

 

” I must said I’m very impressed with your performance and the support you have been given to our state particularly Lafia the State Capital” he added.

Justice Sidi Bage retired Stressed that he is particularly bothered about the delay on the take off of federal university of Lafia Teaching Hospital hence the visit to further push forward.

 

” Honestly I want to see this Teaching Hospital start functioning during my time as the Emir of Lafia that is why I’m here, I must commend you Hon Minister for your patriotism to serve your country for accepting Mr president offer to come back home while serving in a higher Capacity abroad, Les I forget I’m also aware of the effort you been making towards ensuring the smooth take off of the Teaching hospital, we really appreciate however like Oliver twist I want to also encourage you to put more effort please because our people need it Emir of Lafia.

 

Justice Sidi Bage retired also applauded Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State for providing all the necessary enabling ground for the take off of federal university of Lafia Teaching Hospital as well as the former Governor of the State Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura for sponsoring a bill to that effect when he was at the National Assembly adding that the teaching hospital will no doubt complement the state government efforts at providing quality and accessable healthcare services thereby providing job opportunities and bridging the gap of indigenous medical doctors in the state.

 

On his part the Hon Minister of Health and Welfare Professor Muhammad Ali Pate appreciated Emir of Lafia for the visit and assured him that very soon the Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital will become a reality.

 

Professor Pate who was extremely overwhelmed by the Monarch exceptional leadership disposition and his track records in the nation’s judiciary assured that there is no cause for alarm the teaching hospital is a done deal as he commended Hon Yusuf Jibrin Maiangwa for being a good ambassador of Nasarawa State in Abuja.

 

It would be recalled that the federal university of Lafia Teaching Hospital was approved by former president Muhammadu Buhari and the state specialist hospital DASH lafia has been ceded to the federal government as permanent site for the take off of the Teaching Hospital after a speedy legislation by Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
