The Kano State House of Assembly has called on the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris to advise the former governor of the state, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso urging him to caution his supporters against acts capable of plunging the state into crisis.
The call was made following a motion of urgent public importance presented before the assembly by the member APC, representing Sumaila constituency, Alhaji Hamza Massu who is also the chairman house committeeon security.
Massu, said that the call was necessary due to the series of complaints by some residents of the state on the activities of the Kwankwassiyya group, Misau also recalled the clash that occured during the anual hawan daushe(Sallah ritual) between the Kwankwassiyya group and supporters of Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje where many were left injured.
“If the group is allowed to continue with such attitude, what happened during sallah will keep on occurring even beyond expectation”, and following the deliberation in the house, the members later unanimously agreed to inform the ig of police to call the senator to order, the lawmaker said.
