TENSION MOUNT AS NIGER DELTA MILITANT RESUMES PIPELINE VANDALISM.

Reports indicated that some suspected gunmen who are believed to be Niger Delta militants have hit a tug-boat loaded with crude oil in the southern Ijaw creeks in Bayelsa State causing confusion and panic in the surrounding area.

The vessel was said to have been attacked with two security escorts on board and also civilians. The attack allegedly took place on Friday 22 September,  by persons believed to be suspected sea pirates at Ekebiri waterways in southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State leaving two security men and one civilian dead.
