The Gombe State Council of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has formally endorsed Mrs Comfort Amos Mukollo as its candidate for the position of the zone E zonal vice president of NAWOJ in the forthcoming National Delegates Conference of the Association.
NUJ Gombe state Chairman Comrade Sa’idu Bappah Malala, Presenting the candidate before the members of NAWOJ, said Comfort’s candidature is a collective decision of key stakeholders in the zone.
Malala added that Comfort had the full support of NUJ and the journalists in Gombe state, urging the members to continue giving their support for her to marge as successful Vice President in the forthcoming NAWOJ Election.
He therefore said every member of the Association is a stakeholder in the struggle and enjoyed Nawojians giving their maximum support and cooperation by making effective contacts and mobilisation across states of the Northeast.
While describing Comfort as a strong and vibrant member of the NUJ and NAWOJ, comrade Malala pledged the support of the NUJ toward ensuring her victory at the polls.
In an interview, Mrs Comfort Mukollo assured Nawojians that If she emerged women journalists across the states of the zone would testify to the goodies of her leadership.
Mukollo promised to engage NGOs and wealth to do individuals to come in and assist the Union, and see the possibility to be using her experience in sending one after the other to various capacity training.
