Taraba State Govt. to collaborate with German Development Agency to advance sustainable agricultural practices

The Government sought the partnership in a meeting with Dr Markus Wagner, Country Director of the agency in Nigeria at their country office in Asokoro Abuja, Nigeria.

 

 

Dr Agbu Kefas while speaking during the meeting said agriculture and food security are the cornerstone of every society and that Taraba State is blessed with huge potentials which need the collaboration of the German Development Agency to achieve its full potential.

 

According to the Governor, the state is on a journey to advance sustainable agricultural practices considering the vital role agriculture plays in the economy and livelihood of the people.

 

Governor Kefas suggested other areas of collaboration with the agency including renewable energy, critical infrastructures, women and youth empowerment, and mining among others.

 

Kefas assured that he is working round the clock to make the state safer for investors.

The Country Director of the German Development Agency, Dr Markus Wagner, assured the Taraba State Government of support and partnership.

The meeting was attended by top government functionaries from Taraba State.
