The Gombe State High Court, presided over by Justice Fatima Musa, has postponed the hearing of a land encroachment case involving Emir General Integrated Limited and Grand scope Construction Limited to February 17, 2025. The case centers on allegations of trespass and unauthorized construction on disputed property.

Speaking to journalists after the initial hearing, counsel for the applicant, Barrister Sulaiman Abdurrahim, explained that Emir General Integrated Limited is seeking legal redress over alleged land encroachment by Grand scope Construction Limited.

He noted that the court had previously issued an injunction restraining the defendant, its agents, or representatives from accessing the property, erecting structures, or commencing any construction activities.

On the other hand, counsel for the defendant, Barrister Garba Bin Ali Subi, welcomed the adjournment, stating that it would provide his legal team with ample time to thoroughly prepare their defense.

During the session, Justice Fatima Musa reaffirmed the court’s earlier order, emphasizing that Grand scope Construction Limited is prohibited from undertaking any actions on the disputed property until the motion on notice is heard and determined.

The ongoing case highlights the complexities surrounding property disputes, drawing significant public attention as both parties prepare to present their arguments in court on the adjourned date
