In a momentous ceremony, Aisha Adamu, the Executive Chairman of the Gombe State Internal Revenue Service (GIRS), was honored with the prestigious traditional title of Dawisun Yamaltu by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Yamaltu, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu, FCNA.
This marks a historic first for the Yamaltu Emirate, as Aisha Adamu becomes the inaugural holder of the Dawisun Yamaltu title. The conferment ceremony, which took place at the Emir’s palace, recognized her outstanding leadership and contributions to both the emirate and Gombe State.
Alhaji Abdulwahab Umar, the Emirate Secretary (Sa’in Yamaltu), presented the official confirmation letter on behalf of the Emir. He commended Aisha Adamu for her tireless efforts in advancing the economic and social development of the region, particularly through her transformative leadership at GIRS. Her efforts in enhancing revenue generation, financial reforms, and service delivery have had a profound impact on the state’s growth.
As Dawisun Yamaltu, Aisha Adamu assumes a deeply symbolic role as a daughter of the emirate, tasked with upholding its values and contributing to its future progress. She now carries the responsibility of fostering unity and supporting the community’s development.

The staff expressed their unwavering support as she carries out her new responsibilities.
