Jigawa Gov’s Wife Unveils Kwashpap Mix Production Training for 600 Women,

Hajiya Amina Umar A Namadi, wife of Jigawa State Governor, has unveiled the Kwashpap Mix Production Training Program, an initiative aimed at empowering 600 women and youth with the skills and knowledge needed to produce high-quality kwash pap mix.

She stated this during the official unveiling, of the training recently in Dutse the State Capital of Jigawa State.

Kwashpap, a traditional Nigerian baby food made from cornmeal or other grains, is a nutritious food for infants and young children, providing essential carbohydrates, fiber, and other nutrients for growth and development.

The Wife of the governor explained that the program, designed by Hamdan Kasiran OVC and Women Assistance Foundation, is sponsored by the Jigawa State Government and approved by His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi.

“The initiative aims to promote economic self-reliance, contribute to the economic development and growth of Jigawa State, and improve the livelihoods of women and youth.

“The economic benefits of this program include the creation of employment opportunities, generation of income, contribution to local economic growth, and increased food security,” Amina Namadi said

According to her, the program also aligns with the economic development priorities of the Jigawa State Government, particularly in the areas of agriculture, entrepreneurship, and youth development.

Hajiya Amina Umar A Namadi expressed her gratitude to Her Excellency Hajiya Fatima Dikko Radda, Wife of the Executive Governor of Katsina State, for chairing the occasion.

She also thanked her husband, His Excellency Malam Umar A Namadi, for his unwavering support and leadership.

“I am delighted to unveil this program, which is designed to empower women and youth in Jigawa State.

“This initiative is a testament to our commitment to promoting economic self-reliance and improving the livelihoods of our people.” Hajiya Amina Namadi said.

Hajiya Amina Umar A Namadi urged the beneficiaries to take the program seriously and to make the most of the opportunity.

“This program is a chance for you to acquire new skills, improve your livelihoods, and contribute to the economic development of Jigawa State,” she said.

The Kwashpap Mix Production Training Program is expected to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

The program’s beneficiaries will receive training on kwashpap mix production, entrepreneurship, and business management.

They will also receive start-up kits and equipment to enable them to establish their own businesses.

The beneficiaries appreciated the wife of the governor and state government for empowerment programes.
