Nigerian Army Commends Soldiers for Their Role in Sustaining Peace in 2024

The Commander of the 33 Artillery Brigade, Shadawanka Barracks Bauchi, Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe, has pledged to root out corrupt and unscrupulous individuals within the barracks, state, and country.

He made this vow during the 33 Artillery Brigade Commander’s Luncheon with officers and soldiers, held at Vulcan Officers’ Mess in Bauchi on Tuesday, to celebrate the end of 2024.

Egbe urged officers and soldiers to maintain discipline, carry out their professional responsibilities, and always be combat-ready.

He also warned against the misuse of social media and the dangers of hard drug abuse.

The Commander emphasized the importance of prioritizing children’s education, cutting costs, and being prudent.

“In these trying times, it is essential that we maintain our values and principles.

“We must prioritize our children’s education, as it is the key to a brighter future. We must also be mindful of our spending habits and ensure that we are prudent in our financial dealings.” Egbe said.

Egbe expressed his appreciation for the support and diligence of officers and soldiers in sustaining peace in 2024, urging them to maintain the momentum.

“I want to thank each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication.

“Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I am grateful for your commitment to our great nation.”Egbe said.

He also commended the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA), and widows of fallen heroes for their love and support.

The Commander appreciated Lieutenant General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and urged soldiers to align with the COAS philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-motivated and combat-ready force.

Egbe also commended the Bauchi State government, traditional and religious leaders, and the general public for their support in sustaining peace in the state.

“I want to thank the government and people of Bauchi State for their unwavering support.

“Your cooperation and collaboration have been invaluable, and we are grateful for your partnership.” Egbe said

Fatima Mohammed Waziri, leader of the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA) at 33 Artillery Brigade, praised Brigadier General Egbe for his support, stating that he had always financed their activities and provided skills and care for their association.

“We are grateful for the Commander’s support. He has always been there for us, providing us with the necessary resources and guidance. We appreciate his leadership and commitment to our welfare.” Waziri said. ”

The event featured the presentation of awards to soldiers and soldiers with disabilities who were wounded or injured in the line of duty.

The awards were given in recognition of their bravery and sacrifice, and served as a reminder of the importance of their service to the nation.
