In a bid to transform Nigeria’s Agricultural sector, the Ahmed Kawu Heart for Children Initiative (AKHCI) partnered with the Crop-Chain Project Initiative to launch an innovative collaboration which marked a significant step toward improving farming practices and empowering local farmers with cutting-edge technology.

The partnership focuses on deploying advanced solutions like Use-Cases, Agriledger, Farmobile, and Cropfi to address long-standing challenges in the Agricultural value chain. These tools are designed to enhance transparency, ensure fair pricing, and provide direct market access for small-scale farmers.

Speaking at the event, the founder of AKHCI Hajiya Laraba Ahmed Kawu highlighted the importance of technology-driven approaches to solving Agricultural problems.

She said this collaboration represents our commitment to improving the lives of small-scale farmers while opening doors for youth participation in Agriculture, adding that Together, we can create lasting change.

A Representative from the Crop-Chain Project Abubakar Ibrahim said “Our goal is to empower farmers with tools that simplify their work, reduce costs, and increase profitability. Ibrahim added that by integrating innovative solutions, we’re preparing Nigerian Agriculture for a competitive global market.”

The partnership is not just about technology; it’s also about empowering people. Both organizations are committed to engaging youth in Agriculture and promoting sustainable practices that will benefit rural communities.

The Crop-Chain Project aims to eliminate middlemen, reduce post-harvest losses, and create a fairer marketplace for farmers. By simplifying access to markets and pricing, farmers can focus on what they do best growing food and supporting their families

The event concluded with practical demonstrations of how the new technologies work, leaving attendees inspired and optimistic about the future of farming. Participants praised the collaboration for addressing critical issues in the sector and offering innovative solutions.
