NATAIS holds international conference in Yola, urged to extend its activities to rural areas

 

Nigeria Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies NATAIS has been urged to extend its activities to rural Areas for the development of Islamic studies.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made the call while speaking at the opening ceremony of the International Conference organized by NATAIS in collaboration with the Adamawa State Muslim Council held in Yola.

Fintiri who was presented by his Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Mallam Ali Mamman Shu’aibu, stressed the importance for Arabic Teachers to extend their activities to the various Rural Areas, which gives the communities access to understanding Arabic and Islam well.

He called on the Muslim Ummah to continue praying for the state and the country to seek Allah’s intervention to overcome the challenges of insecurity across the nation.

Governor Fintiri commended the NATAIS for choosing Adamawa State for the International Conference, assuring them of his support at any time.

In his speech, the Chairman of Adamawa State Muslim Council, Mallam Gambo Jika called for unity among the Muslims for development and peace in the state and the country at large.

Jika thanked NATAIS for organizing the conference in Yola and assured that the Muslim Council is always ready to give maximum support to NATAIS in their activities.

He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support of the conference and his effort in developing the state and tackling insecurity in the state.

On his part, the National President of NATAIS, Professor Musa Adesina AbdulReem said the essence of organizing the conference was to come together to discuss how to restore peace in the country.

“That is why the theme of the conference is Peace and Security at the National and International Scenes.” He noted.

Prof. Abdulraheem thanked the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for approving the conference to be conducted in Yola and Prayed to Allah to help him continue executing the developmental projects in the state.

Professor Umar Pate, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Kashere, advised Nigerians to be united and avoid anything that leads to insecurity in the country.

In his remarks, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, who was presented by Alhaji Shafi’u Abdullahi (Wakilin Makarantar Zazzau), commended NATAIS for organizing the conference.

He advised them to continue with their activities to enhance the Arabic Language in Islamic Schools and Tertiary Institutions across the country.
