Governor Yusuf Proposes 549 billion appropriation bill for 2025 fiscal year

 

Kano state government has proposed over 549 billion naira before the State House of Assembly.

Governor Yusuf presented the budget at the floor of the state house of assembly plenary session.

The proposed appropriation tagged : ” budget of Hope, Human capital and economic development projected 57 percent of capital expenditure and 43 percent recurrent expenditure”.

The over 549 appropriation budget proposal for 2025 fiscal year is higher compare with approved budget of 2024.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf stated that 2025 budget placed more priority on education health, infrastructural development in the coming year.

According to him, education takes the largest share of 31 percent, government institutions 17. 57 percent, health 16.5 percent and infrastructural development 12. 83 percent.

Other sectors include Agriculture with 3.83 percent of the budget, commerce and industry 1.2 percent of the total budget allocation, enviroment and saintation 2.3 percent, security and justice 4 percent, water/rural development 4.98 percent, transportation 2.33, women and youth 3.15 percent.

Governor Yusuf pleadged that when the budget passed into law will help to realized the collective dreams and aspiration of the people of the state.
