The workshop, scheduled for Monday at Reiz Continental Hotel Abuja, aims to enhance journalists’ capacity to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s ongoing anti-corruption campaign.

He emphasized journalism’s crucial role in fighting corruption, urging participants to deepen their commitment to exposing corrupt practices.

“The media has a critical role to play in the fight against corruption,” Isiguzo said. “We are committed to using our pens to expose corruption and promote transparency.”

ICPC officials stressed collaboration between anti-corruption agencies, journalists, and civil society, highlighting the media’s role in educating the public and mobilizing citizens to demand accountability.

The participants agreed on sustaining momentum and effectively disseminating anti-corruption information.

A comprehensive communiqué outlining recommendations for future collaboration is expected at the end of the workshop.

The participants (Journalists) reaffirmed their commitment to using the “power of the pen” to foster transparency and accountability.
