The Kano State Government has donated ₦100 million to assist victims of the recent tanker explosion in Majia, Taura Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
Radio Nigeria Kano reports that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf announced the donation during a condolence visit to his Jigawa State counterpart, Governor Umar Namadi, at the Government House in Dutse.
Governor Yusuf stated that the funds would be used to cover the medical expenses of those injured.
Recalled that on Tuesday night, Jogawa state was hit with a tragic Petrol tanker explosion which claims about 150 lives who went to scoop fuel after the accident.
The victims who were burnt beyond recognition were buried in a mass grave beside the incident scene after one of the elders donated his land for the cause.
