The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has visited flooded areas in Maiduguri.
The minister said, “Yesterday, I was in Maiduguri, Borno State, which was hit by flooding.
“As a responsive government, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has expressed his condolences and also reinstated commitment to restoration of normalcy.
“Despite the travail, I have seen the people show strength and fortitude.
“Our goal is to rebound from this disaster stronger and more resilient than ever.”
Public official have been trooping to Maiduguri the Borno state capital to sympathise with the people of the state over the unfortunate flood disaster that hit the state two days ago.
