The Bauchi State Government has announced the appointment of Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya as the 17th Emir of Ningi with a 1st Class status.
This is contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Mukthar Gidado, Senior Adviser on Media and communication to Governor Bala Mohammed made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
The appointment was approved by Governor Bala Mohammed, exercising his powers under the laws of Bauchi State.
Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya, the eldest son of the late Emir, was recommended by the kingmakers and conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Barr Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim.
The Bauchi State Government expressed confidence in the new Emir’s ability to continue his late father’s legacy in fostering unity, peace, and development in the Ningi Emirate and Bauchi State.
Governor Bala Mohammed prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Emir’s soul and extended his warm felicitations and prayers for good health, long life, and a successful reign of the new Emir.
The new Emir, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya, was born in Ningi in 1956 and was the immediate past Chiroman Ningi. He is happily married with children.
