Bauchi PDP holds delegate congress Burga emerge Chairman

The People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), in Bauchi State on Saturday held a delegates’ congress, Pharmacist Samila Burga emerge Chairman of the party in the State.

Our Correspondent reports that the congress which produced 39 new executive members came after end of the tenure of executives under Hamza Koshe

Among the 39 new officials are Mr Samila Burga emerging as the Bauchi State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Falalu Attah elected as the Deputy Chairman while Bakoji Bobbo is to serve as the Secretary of the party.

The new executives were sworn , shortly after being announced winners by the Ambassador El -Gash Umar, Chairman electoral committee of PDP State congress.

The new Chairman Mr Burga who is the former Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to Governor Bala Mohammed in his acceptance speech described their emergence as leaders of the party in the state as victory for all faithful.

Burga praised the outgone PDP leadership for their tenacity acumen that led to winning the governorship elections in the state in 2019 and 2023.

“The beauty of a party is to win elections,” Burga stated.

The Chairman appealed to his executives to put hands on deck and consolidate on the success of the party by ensuring that PDP coast to power in 2027.

He advised faithful and leaders against party discord in the primaries of the PDP that may scuttle the plan of PDP come 2027.

“Let us be united and build the party to secure victory come 2027,” Burga assured

In a remark, Alhaji Auwal Jatau, the State Deputy Governor who witnessed the election said the election will infuse some vibrancy into the party.

He said the would infuse party members and the party will play its roles as a ruling party in the state to remain in power and continue to provide dividend of democracy to the people.
