The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, has expressed sadness over the passing of Hajiya Habiba, the wife of the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
The late Hajiya Habiba died on Friday in Zaria, aged 79, and has been buried according to Islamic rites. Her husband, the late Alhaji Shehu Idris, the 18th Emir of Zazzau, passed away on September 20, 2020.
The Speaker, in a press release issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, on Friday, said the Zazzau Emirate and indeed Kaduna State have lost a true mother.
He described the late Hajiya Habiba Shehu Idris as a dedicated and committed woman who served humanity with zeal and sacrifice.
Noting that he was deeply touched by the news of her death, Speaker Abbas prayed to Allah (SWT) to make Jannatul Firdaus her final abode.
He commiserated with the Zazzau Emirate, the people, and government of Kaduna State over the loss.
