The joint security operatives in Bauchi State have successfully dispersed the angry youth with tear gas canisters who marched toward Kobi field holding play cards, trees, sticks to show their anger in the state capital.

The protests by the youth were intended to peacefully call on the government to address the economic hardships amid the serious cost-of-living crisis in the country.

However, the demonstrations turned violent and the police could not hesitate to disperse the gathering of the youth with tear gas canisters since the security intensity in the metropolis.

There was no report of casualties or burning of properties as well as a statement issued by the Police in respect of the protest in the State.
