The Bauchi State Government has assured to give immunization funding a top priority in the 2025 budget proposal to enhance routine immunization services in the state.
Alhaji Rabiu Mohammed, Director Research Planning and Statistics (DPRS) Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Board gave the assurance during advocacy visit by the Bauchi State Zero Dose Learning Hub Community of Practice “CoP” for Immunization funding, on Monday in Bauchi
He gave the advocacy team his assurance that together with his colleagues and the Executive Chairman will give priority to Immunization funding and ensure that the requested amount is allocated.
The CoP members for Immunization funding, budget tracking accountability and sustainability also advocated for improved immunization allocation in 2025 Budget
Earlier, Dr. Hassan Shuaibu Musa, theAfrica Health Budget Network (AHBN) Bauchi State Focal Person said
The visit is to follow up on the State Government’s recent circular to call for budget proposals by MDAs
As well give a push towards ensuring that the Agency fully captures the sum of 800 Million to be earmarked for Immunization in 2025 due to the potential funding gap.
“That will be brought about by the completion of funding assistance from the MoU partners by next year,” he said.
The call on the agency not to relent on its efforts of funding routine immunization in the state.
