NGO Commend AGILE For Improving Education In Gombe

In efforts to partner with AGILE in given their contribution to move the education sector forward in Gombe a Non-Governmental Organization Open knowledge Development Initiative has commends the phase at which AGILE Project is operating in Gombe State.

 

The commendation made by the Executive Director of the Open knowledge Development Initiative Adamu Usman Garko, who led a delegation to the Projects Implementation Unit in Gombe.

 

Adamu Garko said their visit was informed in view of the Project’s components geared towards improving the education of the Adolescent Girls in the state and assured to also lay their hands in the successful implementation of the project in the state.

According to him their organization is in to organizing a training programs, Social Accountability, Amplified Hardware women empowerment Program and other advocacies and Empowerment programs in Nigeria.

 

In his remarks on their activities, the Project Manager of the organization Sadiq Yahaya made a presentation of some of the achievements recorded by the organization and other proposed action plans.

In her addressed the State Project Coordinator of the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment AGILE Project, Dr Amina Haruna Abdul appreciated the organization for the visit and explained to them the major components that made up of the project and its mission to improve the education of the adolescent girls in the state.

Dr. Amina said the project which is a World Bank-driven project is in conformity with the policies and programs of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the education sector of the state and will soon embark on proper implementations of its mandate for the benefit of the citizenry in the state.

 

She assured of the Project’s commitment in awareness creation to reach out to all communities in the state on the importance of Girl child education to ensure improved enrollment, retention and completion of secondary education in addition to learning skills to be self-reliant in the society
