Just like Lagos, President Tinubu will transform Nigeria, DSP Barau says

The Deputy Senate President Senator Jubril Barau has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will transform Nigeria just like he did in Lagos therefore urged Nigerians to be patient.

This is even as Barau commended Tinubu for signing into law, a Bill for an Act to establish South East Development Commission (SEDC) to tackle the ecological problems and any other related environmental or developmental challenges in the South-East States which include Abia, Imo, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi.

Barau said this while addressing journalists shortly after the plenary in Abuja Barau who sponsored the bill for the creation of the commission express gratitude on behalf of the people of North West Nigeria.

Recall that the Bill is sought to establish the commission that will be charged with the responsibility to receive and manage funds from allocation of the Federation Account for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads, houses and other infrastructural damage suffered by the region as a result of the effect of the civil war after 54 years.

The DSP maintained that the North West Development Commission is coming at the right time because the region has been ravaged by insurgency, banditry, kidnapping and others.

According to the DSP, Tinubu has started already and has just spend a year in office while within that one year he has done so many things for this country and believed he will still do more.

“I want to implore all Nigerians to be patient with Mr. President. He will transform Nigeria just as he transformed Lagos” he said.
