CSOs partners private sectors to scale up quality healthcare service in Bauchi

A Cluster of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) Under the auspices of Health System Strengthening Cluster in Bauchi State has partnered private sector organisations to scale up healthcare service delivery in the State.

Hajiya Asmau Yahaya, who led the cluster team at an advocacy visit to Ramadan Press and Tiamin Rice Mill in Bauchi on Monday, said they are seeking partnership to strengthen the health sector in the state.

The Health System Strengthening Cluster comprises six CSOs implementing a project called Improved Quality Healthcare Service Delivery through Integrated Supportive Supervision (ISS) in the state.

The project is a USAID-funded 5-year project (Oct 2020 – Oct 2025), implemented by Palladium in collaboration with Nigerian Resource Partners (RPs).

“The goal of the project is to “improve public accountability, transparency, and sustainable service delivery in Nigeria”

“By strengthening the managerial, financial, and advocacy capacity of civil society to engage citizens to influence the Government of Nigeria in key development reforms at national, state and local levels.

“The health system strengthening cluster is a subgrantee of the Palladium SCALE Project,” she said.

Also speaking, Mr Musibawo Isa said the cluster partnership with the private sector organization would effectively support in implementing integrated supportive supervision activities in the state.

“We are also soliciting your organisation’s support in providing resources and logistics towards strengthening the integrated supportive supervision mechanisms in the state.

“The partnership with the private Organizations would attract others, and institute private sector investment to support integrated supportive supervision activities in the state,” he said.

On his part, Mr Abubakar Giade , Manager at Tiamin Rice Mill said the company doesn’t compromise its social responsibility on health and education sectors.

He said the project is laudable and worth supporting to improve health outcomes in the state.

Giade assures that the company’s would work out modalities to see how they would come in to support healthcare services delivery in the State.

Also responding, Alhaji Garba Noma, Proprietor of Ramadan press, expressed his commitment to the partnership that would scale up quality healthcare services in the State.
