Director General Niger State Bureau for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Umar Farouk, has issued seven days ultimatum to minister of women affairs, Uju Kennedy, to withdraw her statement against Islam and Muslims over mass wedding of one hundred women by the state speaker, Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji.
The DG who stated this during a press conference in Minna, cautioned the minister against interfering in Islamic injunctions, adding that the date for the wedding remains unchanged.
Insert Sheikh Umar Farouk also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of urgency sack the minister for incompetence, saying she is not fit to be part of the federal executive council.
The DG further urged all well to do individuals in the state to emulate Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji by supporting youths and Nigerians who don’t have the means to get married so as to reduce and curb immorality in the country.
