A Group North East All Progressive Congress ( APC) Rapid Response Team (NEAPCRRT) Bauchi State Chapter has called on leaders and stakeholders of the party to reflect on prevailing challenges and come up with strategies to reclaim the state from the opposition.
Dr Usman Disina, The Chapter Chairman made the call at the inauguration of Local government area Ambassadors, youth and women leaders of the team on Sunday in Bauchi.
He said the team is committed to complementing the efforts of the party leadership and stakeholders to map out strategies that will enable the party to take its dominant place once again in the state.
“We have several challenges. We started as a dominant political party in the State.
“It is time to take stock and find out why we are receding and how we can make sure that our position as the leading political party in the country and the state can be regained.
Disina also urged party leaders and members alike to be hopeful of a favourable outcome in a quest for the group to reconcile all aggrieved members and challenges of the party in the state.
The Chairman also cautioned the party against endorsement of aspirants of any office, adding that there should be authentic primaries in all elections in the state.
He explains that the objective of the team is to be proactive in Safeguarding the party’s integrity and promoting togetherness among party members.
“To also work toward ensuring that they reclaim the State from The opposition because the State belongs to APC,” he said.
Dr Disina urged the newly inaugurated officials of the team to remain steadfast, loyal, honest and committed to the repositioning of the party in the state.
He commended the party leadership for giving them consent and support to operate and work towards reinvigorating the party structures in the state
Earlier, Alhaji Biliya Bura who represented the party at the inauguration ceremony commended the team for coming up with such a team to compliment the effort of the state Executives.
He described the team as tools to save the party and reclaim the state from the opposition. Bura assures the team of all the necessary support and guidance to achieve the mandate it was established for, adding that we are with you people because you will add value to the party in the state.
