Gombe State Police Command Urges Close Collaboration Between Parents and Schools to Enhance Child Safety

During a courtesy visit by the Associations of Primary and Secondary School owners in Gombe, CP Hayatu Usman Psc, emphasized the need for parents and school management to work closely together to safeguard the security of students and pupils.

 

The delegation of the association expressed their full support for the CP’s call for collaboration.

 

They acknowledged the critical role that parents play in ensuring the safety of their children and pledged to work hand-in-hand with school management and the police to enhance child safety.

 

CP Hayatu urges parents to liaise with school management regarding who is authorized to pick up their children. In cases where the assigned person is unavailable for pickup, parents are advised to inform the school management in advance.

 

Additionally, parents are encouraged to educate their children about not accepting rides from strangers. It is recommended that phone numbers of drivers, parents, or guardians be provided to the school management for emergency purposes.

 

CP Hayatu also emphasizes the importance of reporting any observed security threats within communities to the Police or other security outfits.

Finally, CP Hayatu reaffirms the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all students and pupils in Gombe and its surroundings.
