The gombe State Police Command has lost one of it’s top ranking offices, a deputy commissioner with the finance department.
In a press statement signed by ASP Mahid Mua’zuAbubakar PPRO of the command stated that until his death, DCP Yusuf Yelwa Shuaibu was the a deputy commissioner with the Finance and Administrative department.
The statement reads:
The Gombe State Police Command, under the esteemed leadership of Commissioner of Police CP Hayatu Usman psc, with deep sorrow, announces the passing away of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Yusuf Yelwa Shuaibu. DCP Shuaibu until his death served diligently as the Deputy Commissioner of Police Department of Finance and Administration, (DCA). DCP Yelwa contributed significantly to the Command’s operational efficiency and the maintenance of peace and order in the state.
The Command extends its heartfelt condolences to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D. NPM, the family, friends, and colleagues of the late DCP Yelwa. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
