Gombe Police Crackdown on Black Spots, Arrests suspected Hard Drug dealers

 

In a concerted effort to uphold public safety and combat illicit activities, the Gombe Divisional Police Headquarters, through its Patrol 999 team, conducted a successful raid on black spots within the community on the evening of February 7, 2024.

A statement signed by Asp Mahid Muazu Abubakar, Police  Public Relations Officer Gombe State disclosed that, at about 10:00 PM, the team, led by diligent officers, apprehended nine individuals suspected of involvement in illegal drug-related activities. Among the confiscated items were dry leaves believed to be Indian hemp and Exol/Yellow tablets suspected to be hard drugs.

 

The arrested suspects are identified as follows:

1. Muhammad Mamuda Abubakar, aged 19
2. Abba Sani, aged 22
3. Ismail Usman, aged 19
4. Abba Dama Sadiq, aged 19
5. Isah Muhammad, aged 25
6. Aminu Ibrahim, aged 25
7. Sani Ali, aged 21
8. Babayo Lawan, aged 20
9. Usman Muhammad, aged 40

All suspects are male and hail from various addresses within the vicinity.

In a similar operation over 22 suspects were arrested by the same team.
