Governor, Bala Mohammed has urged Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu led Federal government.to Succeed for the state government to also succeed.
Mohammed advised the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Bauchi State Chapter paid homage to him on a Christmas day at Government House Bauchi on Monday.
“The issue of politicking is over, it is time for action, therefore, he needs our collective prayers to succeed. Pray for him and pray for me also,” the governor said.
“There is no issue of political parties now, pray for APC and PDP to succeed in working for the people of the country.
“If Mr President does not perform creditably, it will affect even us in the state. We need to work together, synergize and ensure that the people get the dividends of democracy.”
He opined that prayer was very important in changing situations for good.
“God is always ready to answer our prayers. Let us pray for more money from the Federal Government for the development of our state,” he said
The Governor assured that he would continue to serve the people of the state promising that he would do better than what was done in his first term.
He said he came to work for the people of the state.
Mohammed commended the Christian community in the state for unflinching support to him and his administration since 2019 when he was first elected as Governor and in 2023 when he was reelected for a second term.
He also stressed the need for people to always hold the government accountable to ensure that the right thing is done.
Earlier, the State CAN Chairman, Reverend Abraham Damina commended the governor for carrying all categories of faiths, and groups among others along in the State.
Damina described the administration of Mohammed as one of the best in the history of the state saying. the governor brought development as never witnessed in the state.
He urged Christians in the state to consistently pray for the Governor for more wisdom for his administration to succeed.n
