The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar has reiterated that the All Progressive Congress (APC) would bounce in Bauchi, just as he donated the sum of N5 million to the State Party Secretariat and Toyota RAV4 Jeep to the Acting Chairman Mohammed Tilde.

Tuggar stated this while donating the N5 million and Toyota Jeep at the Secretariat on Tuesday, saying we would remain loyal to the party and continue to render support till it bounces back in the state.

Yusuf Tuggar, Represented by the Director General of the Tuggar Foundation, Bello Muhammad Tukura, led other Directors and coordinators of the foundation to the party secretariat in Bauchi.

In a brief remark before presenting the car key to the APC Acting Chairman in Bauchi State, Tukura disclosed that the minister pledged to continue to support the party in whatever capacity required.

“We had a meeting with him in Abuja days ago and he asked me to inform you that if not because of the demand of his office which makes him travel frequently and has just travelled, he would have been in Bauchi himself to spend time with party leadership and faithful in the state,” he said.

“The minister asked me to deliver the sum of N5 million to the party and he bought a car for the acting chairman to move to around

“We came here with the car and I am presenting the key to you and he directed me to inform you that you can use it to carry out any APC-related activities

“Ambassador asked me to inform you that whatever is left to be done as far as running the party in the state, he should be informed.

“As for the members of the working committee, he assured that they will not forget their efforts in whatever assistance needed he is willing to provide”

In his response, the acting Chairman, Mohammed Tilde, expressed gratitude on behalf of the leadership and members of the working committee for the kind gesture by the minister.

Tilde thanked the minister, the Director General, the Secretary and other directors of the Foundation for the visit.

“We are grateful to God for all the prayers that have been answered to find solutions and effect change in our party in the state,” he stated.
“First of all, we are much grateful to Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar what this support and assistance to the party in the state in continuation of what he had been doing in the past.

“Secondly, we are thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing three of our people from Bauchi who were given key appointments”

He said with the gesture of Ambassador Tuggar, and the ones from other appointees of the party at the federal level, the party will be strengthened ahead of future elections.

The acting Chairman used the opportunity to appeal to members of the party to continue to exhibit patience given the challenges that bedevilled the party.

He said the previous leaders of the party in the state have done their best to improve the fortune of the party in the state saying the current leadership was learning from them.
Tilde appealed to the faithful not to relent in praying for a better change in APC in Bauchi state.

He assured me that his leadership would be just and work hard to meet the yearnings and aspirations of every member.

The Acting chairman also called on stakeholders of the party to always advise the leadership of his working committee on how to move the party forward.

“Do not hesitate to point to us where we make mistakes and we assure you that we will make amends when necessary,” he assured.

“When it comes to repairing whatever damage that has been inflicted on the party, whether within the state or at the national, we plead that such reconciliation efforts must be done in the right way.

“We are human beings and will always make our grievances known and insist on the right thing to be done.

“I want to assure you that we will follow the laid down rule to address issues.

“It is on this note that we are truly happy for what the Ambassador has done for us as a party.

“I recalled when we came on board many members wanted to visit in solidarity from the communities in the state.

“We had campaigned massively in 2023 “After the election we went to court up to the Appeal Court.

“We felt coming on board it would be like punishing our members to ask them to come from places like Gamawa, Itas, Zaki, Toro and so to come to the headquarters on a solidarity visit

“It is not that we don’t want supporters to come but we are feeling for them.

“We are impressed what the Tuggar Foundation has done today because I see representation because if all the supporters of the minister were to be here today, even if individually, we would record over 4000”

“The Acting Chairman also mentioned Senator Shehu Buba and Professor Ali Pate, Minister of Health health and Sadiq Abubakar for their support to the party in the state.

He urged the stakeholders in the party to unite and work together.
“Without this unity, we will have problems along the way. So we urge all our members to continue to tow the path of peace”
