Tinubu’s CoS Gbajabiamila faces allegations of switching appointments

Amid mounting (rumours) signs that the Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, may soon be replaced due to allegations of trading government appointments, an insider has disclosed a recurring pattern that whenever Tinubu signs something, it will somehow be changed purportedly by his embattled CoS.

Daily Post Reports suggest a growing outcry among Tinubu’s loyalists who are resolute in removing Gbajabiamila from the Presidential Villa. Notably, there have been cases where names initially approved by the President for appointments were allegedly swapped by the Chief of Staff.

One instance cited is the replacement of the name of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ekiti with a former commissioner under the previous Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.

According to a reliable source, the President, frustrated by such changes, confronted Gbajabiamila, giving him a final warning. He said,

“The President said so, what he has been hearing is true that whenever he signs something, it will be changed.

The President gave three instances that he signed for something and was changed. He felt bad and gave him the last warning. He directed that the woman’s name must be in the list.”

There is a plan to transition Gbajabiamila out of the Villa, possibly by appointing him to an ambassadorial position.

President Tinubu is already assembling a team to assist with matters that have raised concerns due to the Chief of Staff’s actions, and the President’s Private Principal Secretary has begun taking on some of Gbajabiamila’s responsibilities.
