A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chieftain, and the Former Director of the Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria, Dr. Ladan Salihu has expressed his disappointment in the way Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), supervised the 2023 presidential election. Dr. Ladan Salihu stated that it pains him that Mahmood Yakubu who he referred to as his brother, cannot deliver.
The chieftain said this while speaking in an interview with Arise Television, Dr Ladan Salihu that he is disappointed in Mahmood Yakubu because he believes that the INEC chairman could have done better in overseeing the process of the presidential election.
According to him: “I feel terrible on the inside because the INEC chairman, we grew up together, I know him personally, and it pains me that my brother that whom we grew up together cannot deliver.
Maybe he had his shortcomings, and his constraints, and his limitations, I don’t know, I haven’t spoken to him, but I am disappointed because I believe that I saw a situation in which he could have done better”.
