Bauchi State House of Assembly on Tuesday screened, cleared and confirmed 24 for appointment, commissioner-nominees presented to the House by Governor Bala Mohammed
Our correspondent reports that their screening was sequel to receipt of the list of nominees from the governor to the legislature presented by Speaker of the House, Abubakar Sulaiman at plenary on Wednesday in Bauchi.
The nominees who took their turns in answering questions from the legislators.
The 24 commissioner nominees were five former commissioners and five female nominees.
The confirmed nominees include,
Maiwada Bello, Ibrahim Gambo,
Mahmoud Baba-Maaji, Danlami Kawule, Mrs Lydia Tsammani,Ahmed Jalam,Yakubu Hamza.
Others are Usman Danturaki,Abdul Hassan,Muhammad Salees,Yakubu Adam,Usman Modibbo,Hajara Gidado, Farouk Mustapha, Hajara Yakubu- Wanka,Aminu Hammayo,
Hassan El-Yakub.
They include Muhammad Shira, Prof. Simon Yalams,Abubakar Bununu,Dr Jamila Dahiru,Dr. Adamu Sambo,Abdulrazak Zaki and
Amina Katagum.
The Speaker after the meeting of the committee of hall members has confirmed the 24 names transmitted to the house screening and confirmation.
