Why Dr. Jamila made the list of Governor Mohammed’s Commissioner-nominees -Aide

The Media aide to former Commissioner of Education in Bauchi State, Alhaji Mukthar Sulaiman has stated that his principal, Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru was nominated by Gov. Bala Mohammed for reappointment as Commissioner in his second term cabinet due to her exceptional performances in the first tenure of his administration.

 

Alhaji Mukthar who stated this in an interview with our correspondent in Bauchi on Thursday, described Governor Bala’s gesture as a strategic move aimed at maintaining the momentum of progress in Bauchi state.

 

“The Governor of Bauchi state, His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed presented a list of nominees for the position of State Commissioners to the Bauchi State House of Assembly in which Dr. Jamila Mohammmed Dahiru was included for reappointment”, he said.

 

He said Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru had received widespread commendations for her exceptional performance as the Commissioner of Education during her previous term.

 

According to Alhaji Mukthar, the tenure of his boss as the Commissioner of Education in the state, spanning from December 2022 to May 2023, was marked by transformative changes and impressive achievements in the state’s education sector.

 

“Dr. Jamila’s dedication and commitment to improving access to education for vulnerable and marginalized groups earned her accolades and support from various quarters”, he added.

 

He said Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his strong endorsement of Dr. Jamila’s renomination in a letter to the State Assembly. He highlighted her competence, visionary leadership, and proven ability to deliver tangible results as the driving factors behind his recommendation.

 

He stated that the Governor also lauded Dr. Jamila’s unwavering pursuit of excellence and her tireless efforts to advance the state’s education system.

 

“Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru’s innovative projects and initiatives during her previous tenure have positively impacted the education state’s education sector.

 

“Her leadership has been praised for its inclusivity and effectiveness in addressing the diverse challenges faced by the education sector”, the media Aide noted.

 

He recalled that the list of nominees for Commissionership, with Dr. Jamila inclusive, submitted by Senator Bala Mohammed is expected to undergo rigorous scrutiny and confirmation by the Bauchi State House of Assembly.

 

“If confirmed, Dr. Jamila and the other recommended persons would take on the responsibility of steering the state’s key departments to further progress and develop Bauchi state”, Alhaji Mukthar explained.

 

He said that the State Assembly will now review the qualifications and track records of all the recommended nominees to determine their suitability for the positions. The decision on their confirmation is anticipated to be made in the coming weeks, with keen interest.
