Valuchain Magazine pays tributes to Ex OPEC Secretary, late Dr Barkindo

The Valuchain Magazine and the entire management staff honored the memories of late Dr. Mohammad Sunusi Barkindo, Ex Secretary General of OPEC, who died on 5th July 2022 in active service.

 

This is contained in a one year remembrance of Dr Barkindo message signed by Valuchain Magazine Publisher/CEO Musa Bashir Usman for the Editorial Advisory Board, and Management made available to Journalists on Wednesday.

The message read in parts “It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we remember His Excellency, late Dr. Mohammad Sunusi Barkindo, former Secretary General of OPEC, and the Alternate Chairman, Valuechain Editorial Advisory Council who died on 5th July 2022 in active service

His stewardship to the Oil and Gas industry, locally and globally, and amazing leadership qualities were an inspiration to us all.

Dr. Barkindo was a phenomenal man who left an indelible mark in the Oil and Gas industry. His lifetime of experience and deep knowledge of the industry enabled him to lead OPEC through some of its most challenging years.

His unwavering commitment to the goals of the organization and his authentic leadership was a testament to his faith and passion for a better world where security, affordability and sustainability of energy for all is guaranteed.

The Management of Valuchain Magazine mourns the loss of this great leader and gentleman. His profound intelligence and commitment to bringing people together were key ingredients in establishing OPEC’s reputation as a reliable and efficient organization.

He was a visionary leader who was determined to ensure sustainable production of energy and promotion of social justice. His achievements and legacy will remain with us forever.
