Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has distributed 300 Saudi riyals to over 3000 Bauchi pilgrims in the holy land of Makkah.

This is contained in a statement issued by Alhaji Mukthar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Mohammmed made available to Newsmen on Friday.

Our correspondent reports that 300 Saudi Riyals is equivalent to Nigeria currency of N66,000 given to each of the Bauchi pilgrims at the holy land.

He said the Governor made the donation when he visited Bauchi camp of the over 3000 pilgrims who participated in this year’s Hajj exercise.

Gidado explained that the gesture was to compliment their expenses during their stay in the holy land.

According to him, the Governor during the visit to their Munna tent appreciated them for their good conduct throughout their stay in the holy land.

“Mohammed commended them for respecting authorities both in Nigeria and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“He assured that his administration will not relent in supporting the state pilgrims welfare board in order to provide the best services to the pilgrims,” he said.

Gidado also said the state government would partner the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to address some of the challenges being experienced by the state’s Hajj commissions while in the hold land of Saudi Arabia.

He said Gov Mohammmed expressed his profound gratitude to the pilgrims for their prayers for the success of his administration, urging them to sustain the tempo for the best interest of the state and its citizens.
